How Do I Get to the Red Treasure Chest After Shutting Off the Steam Valves in Epic Mickey?

Throughout the main story quest of "Epic Mickey," there are dozens of optional collectible items that are only found through a careful exploration of the alternate paths on every level. Often, these items require some puzzle-solving. On the Jungle Boat Ride level, after turning off the valves, you are presented with an opportunity to open a red chest, inside of which is a silver pin.

Instructions

- 1
  Press the "Z" button to splash the yellow wall next to the valves with paint thinner, then step into the alcove you've created and walk left.

  Dodge the mechanical parts that push out from the wall by waiting until they recede, then running past.

  Press "A" twice to double-jump to the lowered column, then ride it as it rises toward the top.
- 4
  Press "A" twice to double-jump to the platform at the top, then run to the end of the platform to the chest.
- 5
  Press "A" to open the chest and retrieve the silver pin.
