"Animal Crossing" is a life simulation that mixes elements of "Harvest Moon" with "The Sims." Players spend their time gardening, decorating their home and meeting with the locals. Mr. Resetti is one of the local inhabitants, though he typically only appears after the player has reset the game, at which point he makes an unpleasant spectacle about how resetting the game gives him ulcers. If the player is lucky, he can find Mr. Resetti's underground surveillance room. If he does so, Mr. Resetti will give him the Silver Shovel, which gives bonus money when digging holes.

Wait until 8 p.m. The entrance to Mr. Resetti's Surveillance Room is always closed before then.

Exit your house and walk towards the city. On the side of the road you'll see some cones. Typically, they're always standing in the same formation, even after 8 p.m. If you're lucky, one of them will be move to the side, revealing a hole. If not, return the next day.

Enter the hole. This is Mr. Resetti's Surveillance Room. Speak with the mole and he'll give you the Silver Shovel.
