How to Use Chaos Blast in Sonic & the Black Knight

The Chaos Blast is a move that appears in several of the "Sonic" games from Sega. It allows you to take out every nearby enemy within a given radius. A variation of the Chaos Blast, called the Knight of Chaos, appears in "Sonic & the Black Knight" for the Nintendo Wii and sports a similar function. You can use it only when playing as Shadow the Hedgehog on certain levels and only after you have acquired Shadow's Ddraig Goch, a sword that you receive once you collect two Katanas, two Orichalcum, two Dragon Eye Stones and two Medals of Lancelot.

  Start a level as Shadow the Hedgehog, who is named Sir Lancelot in the game, with the Ddraig Goch sword equipped. You can play as Shadow only on the Knight's Passage, Shrouded Forest, Great Megalith, The Cauldron and Dragon's Lair levels.

  Collect enough Soul Energy to fill your Soul Meter if it is not full already. Shadow will start out with a full meter at the beginning of the level, but you may deplete it with special moves. To collect Soul Energy, find the red fairies that are scattered throughout the level or destroy enemies.

  Press "B" on the Wii Remote and swing the controller to activate Shadow's Soul Surge, which will perform a Knight of Chaos. This will wipe out any enemies within a small radius as well as keep you protected for as long as your Soul Meter lasts, but it will deplete over time. Press "B" again to cancel the move, or wait until your Soul Meter runs out.
