How to Use Savegame Manager

The "Wii Savegame Manager" is an application released for the "Wii Homebrew Channel," a third-party application that allows you to "soft-mod" your Wii. Soft-modding uses software to alter the functionality of your console to run unauthorized software, like emulators and backup games. The "Savegame Manager" allows players to import and export savegames, which is typically not allowed by the Wii for security purposes.

Instructions

    • 1

Download and extract the "Savegame Manager." Open the SD card with your "Wii Homebrew Manager" on it, and copy the extracted "Savegame Manager" folder onto the SD card under the "apps" folder.

    • 2

Start up your Wii, with the Homebrew Channel loaded. Select the Savegame Manager, and choose between the two options presented: Extractor Mode and Installer Mode. Extractor Mode copies a savegame to the removable disk, and Installer Mode copies a savegame from the removable disk.

    • 3

Choose the device to extract or restore from, either SD card or USB. Select the savegame on the saves menu, and press "A" to extract or restore it.
