How to Jump High Walls in New Super Mario Bros for DS

"New Super Mario Bros" is a game for the Nintendo DS. Players control Mario as he makes his way through a subterranean wonderland, defeating goombas and battling the big Bowser family. Combat plays a central role in the game, but so does exploration. To reach many out-of-the-way places, the player must control Mario with finesse. Players can execute the Wall Jump to get up shafts and over some especially high walls.

     Run toward a wall, and then push the X or Y button to jump.

     Push the A or B button, just as Mario makes contact with the wall. This causes him to jump off the wall, going even higher.

     Continue hitting the A or B button every time he touches a surface to jump from. This can be another wall, a platform or a pipe. He'll hop back and forth between the surfaces, gradually making his way to the top.
