How to Get Past the First Floor on Epic Mickey

"Epic Mickey" for the Nintendo Wii tasks the player with exploring the Cartoon Wasteland as Mickey Mouse, working to rid the land of an evil force that is destroying it. You will start this 2010 title in Dark Beauty Castle. Here you meet the helpful Gremlin Gus, who guides you through the game. Your first goal is to disable the arms of a giant robot who attempts to kill Mickey.

Instructions

- 1
  Walk up the stairs to the right and talk with Gus. He teaches you the spin move. Use this maneuver two times to destroy the console beside Gus. This also destroys one of the robot's mechanical arms.

  Head to the right. Dodge the robot's remaining mechanical arm and avoid the searchlight. If it spots you, the searchlight will turn red and the robot will attack.

  Listen as Gus tells you how to jump using the "A" button. Perform a double jump by hitting the "A" button twice to leap over the gaps in the floor.
- 4
  Make your way to a second console and use the spin attack again. This knocks out the robot's other arm and reveals a new path below.
