How to Configure a DriveKey

DriveKey is an easily installed mod for the Nintendo Wii that allows you to play backup disks on your system. However, before you can go through the installation process, you must configure the DriveKey. Different regions require different configurations. The configuration process is fairly straightforward and only requires you to adjust the DriveKey's DIP switches.

Instructions

- 1
  Locate the DriveKey DIP switches. There are two side-by-side switches located to the left of the "DriveKey" logo. The DIP switches are white.

  Identify the top of the DIP switches. When the DIP switch is right side up, you will see the word "ON" at the top of the switch.

  Determine the region of your Wii's manufacture: North American, European, Japanese or Korean.

  Move the left switch down and the right switch up if you have a North American Wii.
- 5
  Move both switches into the up position if you have a Japanese Wii.
- 6
  Move the left switch up and the right switch down if you have a European Wii.
- 7
  Move both switches into the down position if you have a Korean Wii.
