How to Get Past the First Door in Epic Mickey

"Epic Mickey" pits Mickey Mouse against the evil Shadow Blot, a creature bent on controlling the world of the Wasteland. The game puts Mickey in control of a magical paintbrush that can create and destroy objects in the world. Using the brush's paint feature, Mickey can fix broken devices and heal the world. However, he is also able to dissolve parts of the world using thinner. The first door puzzle in the game requires that Mickey use his paintbrush.

Instructions

- 1
  Follow Gus the Gremlin until you reach the first door just after receiving your paintbrush powers.

  Aim your cursor using the Wii Remote. The Wii Remote cursor is the white circle on the screen. Point the controller at the screen and move it to aim.

  Aim the cursor just above the door at the transparent gear between the two orange gears. This gear is grayed out to indicate that you can use your paintbrush on it.
- 4
  Press and hold the "B" button while aiming at the gear with the controller to spray it with paint, causing the gear to become painted and the door to open.
