How to Jump With the Classic Controller in Ocarina of Time

The Nintendo Wii's Virtual Console feature allows you to download and play previously released games from the Wii Shop, including "The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time," released on the Nintendo 64 in 1998. The only difference between the Nintendo 64 original and the Wii's Virtual Console release is in the controller, which means that you can perform all of the actions originally performed on the Nintendo 64 controller, such as jumping with the main character's horse, Epona, using the Classic Controller.

Instructions

    • 1

Summon Epona by playing "Epona's Song" on your Ocarina. Epona can only be summoned whenever you are not in a dungeon or town.

    • 2

Stand next to Epona when she appears.

    • 3

Press "A" on the Classic Controller to ride Epona.

    • 4

Press the analog stick in any direction to have Epona move in that direction.

    • 5

Press "A" when you are a few feet from an object to give Epona a carrot and boost her speed. Epona automatically jumps over the obstacle in her way. Epona can jump over objects such as small fences and bushes.
