How to Beat the Shadow in Epic Mickey

The Shadow Blot is the boss monster guarding the end of the "Ye Olden Days" stage in Disney's "Epic Mickey" for the Nintendo Wii. The Blot is a smaller version of the Phantom Blot, the evil creature Mickey let loose into the Disney World during the game's intro sequence. The Shadow Blot attacks Mickey when the mouse attempts to help Oswald the Rabbit, who in turn is fighting off Bloticles in an attempt to keep said enemies from uncorking the rest of the Phantom Blot.

Instructions

- 1
  Dodge to the right or left as soon as the Blot comes into view. It will start throwing globs of paint thinner, which will damage Mickey if they touch him.

  Double-jump into the air when the Blot starts moving close to Mickey. The approach is the signal that the Blot is about to use its melee attack.
- 3
  Keep moving around after the melee attack. The Blot will launch itself into the air and drop paint thinner bombs on Mickey, which are easily avoided provided you don't stop moving.

  Run as far away from the Blot's shadow as you can when it starts to grow larger. The Blot will land on the ground at the shadow location and start sucking Mickey towards itself.

  Pour as much paint thinner or paint as you can into the Blot's mouth as it sucks you towards itself. The Blot will eventually choke on the material and resume attacking you.
- 6
  Continue dodging the Blot's attacks--killing any Bloticles it drops on you in the process--and filling its mouth with paint or thinner when it tries to suck you up. After the fourth choke, the Blot will go down for the count.
