How to Get the Gears at the Town on Epic Mickey

Race Gilda

  Talk to Pete as you enter the Mean Street section of the Town and then talk to Gilda. She offers to race you and gives you the first gear if you win.

  Follow the guardian as quickly as possible over the roof of the Town Hall. The guardian leads the way, showing you the route around the race track.

  Jump down to the street level when the guardian leaves the Town Hall roof and continue running after the guardian. Reach the end of the street before Gilda to acquire the first gear.

Visit the Ice Cream Shop

  Go to the Detective Agency and talk to Horace after you're inside. Horace asks you to visit the emporium and fetch him a book in exchange for the second gear.

  Walk directly across the street to the Emporium. Casey, the Emporium owner, sends you to the Ice Cream shop.

  Talk to Paulie, the Ice Cream Shop assistant. He gives you the book requested by Horace.

• 7

  Return to Horace at the Detective Agency and give him the book. He gives you the second gear in return.
