How Do You Get in the Surveillance Room in Animal Crossing: City Folk?

"Animal Crossing: City Folk," a game for the Nintendo Wii game console, tasks players with living in a rural village and completing all of the chores and activities that come along with living in such a location. In addition to this village, your character can also visit a city and all of the shops and people there. In this city is a surveillance room run by a character by the name of Resetti. To gain access to this surveillance room, you must be in the right place, at the right time, and even then some chance is still involved.

Instructions

  Approach the bus stop sign at the bus stop in your village and press the "A" button. Move your cursor over the "Go to City" option and press the "A" button to travel to the city.

  Turn right immediately after you get off the bus and walk east down the sidewalk until you reach the two traffic cones directly south of Katrina's House of Fortune. Make note of this location -- the two cones block the entrance to the surveillance room.

  Return to the location outlined in Step 2 at 8:00 p.m. "Animal Crossing: City Folk" uses the Wii's built-in clock to know what time it is, so 8:00 p.m. in the game is the same as 8:00 p.m. in the real world.

  Walk past the moved cones and into the surveillance room. The cone blocking your path to the surveillance room moves only at 8:00 p.m. on random nights, so you must continue to check in at 8:00 p.m. until you are able to enter the surveillance room.
