How to Move Mickey on Epic Mickey

A powerful magic spell sucks Mickey Mouse into an unusual version of Disney Land in the Nintendo Wii game "Epic Mickey." Mickey must destroy the invading ink monsters in this world before they blot out the Disney characters forever. To help Mickey accomplish his task, you need to learn how to control him and his different abilities. Use the Wii Remote and its attached peripheral, the Wii Nunchuk, to control Mickey and save the Disney characters.

Use the Nunchuk's control stick to move Mickey around. Press "A" on the Wii Remote to jump. If you press "A" again while in mid-air, Mickey does a double-jump. The "A" button also lets you talk to characters or interact with objects. Press "2" to pause the game.

Press "Left" or "Right" on the Wii Remote's directional pad to change the camera direction; press "C" on the Nunchuk to reset the camera. Press "1" on the Wii Remote to enter first-person mode; press "1" again to cancel the mode.

    • 3

Hold down the "B" button on the Wii Remote to spray a stream of paint. To use just a splash of paint, press "B." Point the Wii Remote at the screen to aim at targets you want to paint. Paint turns enemies into friends and fills in missing objects. Use paint if you want to take the "good" path.

    • 4

Tap "Z" on the Nunchuk to splash your enemies with paint thinner; hold "Z" to spray a long paint thinner stream. Paint thinner dissolves enemies and objects. Use paint thinner on enemies if you prefer the "evil" path.

Press the "+" button on the Wii Remote to choose a sketch after you acquire a few sketches, which you get later in the game. Press "-" on the Wii Remote to use the chosen sketch. You can use Sketches to form bridges, hurt enemies or activate machines.

Shake the Wii Remote to do Mickey's spin attack. This move is effective against stunned or weaker enemies.

    • 7

Thrust the Nunchuk at the screen to release a Guardian, if you have one; to release all of your Guardians, thrust the Nunchuk and Wii Remote toward the screen at the same time. The Guardian battles enemies for you. If you hold the Wii Remote straight, the Guardian guides you to the goal. To get Guardians, use your paint or paint thinner to fill in or erase objects in the world. You can have up to three Guardians at once.
