Background
"Donkey Kong Country Returns" has eight main game worlds, each consisting of a number of main levels that you play through to reach a boss stage, which you must complete to pass onto the next game world. In addition to the main levels, each world also contains a hidden bonus level also known as the "KONG" level.
Bonus Levels
To access the bonus "KONG" level on each world, you must complete every main level within the world, and also collect every one of the letter symbols marked "K," "O," N," and "G," hidden in each level. The bonus level then becomes accessible via the game's map screen.
Orbs
To collect all eight rare orbs, you must unlock every one of the bonus "KONG" levels, one on each world, and complete the new bonus level that appears. When you have collected all eight of the orbs, a new game world becomes accessible. This world contains just one level, "9-1, The Golden Temple."
Mirror Mode
If you manage to complete the difficult "Golden Temple" level, a new mirror-mode becomes available, which allows you to replay the entire game with every level reversed. In this mode, you must complete every level without using the Diddy Kong character. You also have only one life "heart" and no available power-ups.
