How to Greet New People in City Folk

In "Animal Crossing: City Folk," when you first move into your town, you will only have six villagers. Eventually, four more animals will become villagers of the town. Your town can only have a maximum of 10 villagers. After 10 villagers are in your town, a few animals will leave your town for another. Once an animal leaves your town, a new villager will come to take its place within seven days. Your character can greet new animals in the town.

Instructions

Make a villager move out of the town. Equip the net and hit the animal with it. Push him into pit holes to annoy him. Walk into the animal and push him around town until he gets annoyed. Never speak to the villager. Invite him to your house and don't show up if you do talk to him.

Wait three to seven days for a new villager to move into the town. If Katie is in the town, reunite her with Kaitlin, and vice versa. A new animal will not move into your town if Katie or Kaitlin are in your town.

Check your map, which is a key item, in "Animal Crossing: City Folk." Look for a new house on the map. Even if you haven't greeted a new neighbor, the location of their home will be automatically logged onto the map. A small blue house represents a villager's home.

Travel to the location of the new house. Enter the new home and speak to the villager inside. Unlike the homes of situated villagers, the new home will only contain dozens of cardboard boxes. Your character will greet the new animal.
