A List of Mini Games in Crystal Bearers

Fans and critics have always praised Square Enix's "Final Fantasy" series for its inventive and enjoyable mini games, and "Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers" is no exception. Compared to previous "Final Fantasy" titles, which typically featured one or two mini games each, "The Crystal Bearers" is home to a number of diverting mini games that take advantage of the Nintendo Wii's unique control scheme.
  1. Water Slide

    • In the Water Slide mini game, you must use the nunchuck controller's analog stick to guide your character along the a winding, downward sloping water path. Along the path, you will see numerous flags rising up from the water. Most of the flags are red, and the rest are white. Grab white flags to earn points in this mini game. Hitting red flags will cause you to lose points.

    Beach Battle

    • In Beach Battle, you must help your friend Belle defeat her opponents. To do this, you must press "A" to hit them with a supply of beach balls. Use the joystick to aim carefully at your opponents -- it is better to play slowly and accurately than to lob a huge number of shots without paying attention. Do your best to avoid detection. If the other players notice that you are throwing balls, they will leave the battle and you will have to try again.

    Cart Escape

    • In the Cart Escape mini game, you have to defeat a group of guards who rush away from you riding chocobos, their flying bird companions. Aim the nunchuck controller at one of the fleeing guards, allowing yourself to gather speed, and ride up behind him. Run your cart into him to knock him off his winged mount. Repeat this process with the other guards to win the mini game.

    Hill Surfing

    • Hill Surfing is one of the simplest mini games in "The Crystal Bearers." To win this game, you must simply move the Wii's analog stick either left or right to select the right path while you ride a board down the side of a small mountain. You can try to anticipate one or two moves in advance by looking in the top center part of your TV screen.
