How to Recharge My Wii Rechargeable Battery Without Wires

On some gaming systems, you recharge the battery on your wireless controller by plugging in a cable to the controller and the system. You can then continue to play while the battery charges. The Nintendo Wii does things a bit differently. In order to recharge your controllers, you need to place them in the charging dock. You don't need any special wires but you will not be able to use the controllers while they charge.

Instructions

  Unplug the Nunchuk attachment from the bottom of your Wii controller. If you are not using the attachment, skip this step.

  Remove the MotionPlus module and controller skin from your controller. If you aren't using a MotionPlus module, remove any skin you may be using and continue.

  Place the Wii controller into the charging dock facing forward. A red light will turn on indicating that the controller is charging.
- 4
  Leave the remote on the dock until the light turns green. When this happens, the controller is fully charged and ready for use.
