Instructions
Getting the Necessary Files
Download "BrawlBox" (see Resource 1). Be sure to save this file somewhere obvious on your computer (the desktop is always a good place).
Unzip the BrawlBox archive that you have downloaded by right-clicking on its icon and then selecting the "Extract" option.
Download a collection of Final.PACs (see Resource 2 for a relatively complete set).
Unzip the Final.PACs archive that you have downloaded (called "Fianls.rar") by right-clicking on its icon and then selecting the "Extract" option.
Download a set of character models (see Resource 3).
Finding Models and Textures
Start "BrawlBox" by double-clicking on the ".exe" file you extracted from your "BrawlBox" archive.
Click on the "File" option in the top left of the "BrawlBox" window, and then select the "Open" option.
Find and then select the ".PAC" file labeled "Fit[x]Final" -- where [x] is the name of the character whose final smash you want to edit.
Look through the files arranged on the left side of the screen until you find the main object of your character's final smash. For example, the main object in Captain Falcon's final smash is the "Falcon Flyer." Once you have found this item, right-click on its icon in the left-hand panel of the "BrawlBox" window and choose the "Preview" option.
Open a second "BrawlBox" window by double-clicking on the ".exe" file you extracted from your "BrawlBox" archive.
Click on the "File" option in the top left of the "BrawlBox" window, and then select the "Open" option.
Find and then select the character model you want to trade with the main object of your character's final smash. Click on the "Open" button to open this model file.
Right-click on this file and then choose the "Export" option. It is a good idea to export this data to your desktop.
Find the texture data for the model you are using to replace the original. Right-click on this file and then choose the "Export" option. It is a good idea to export this data to your desktop.
Making the Switch
Find the texture file for the object you want to change, then right-click on this file's icon to open a menu. Choose the "Replace" option and then find and select the texture data for the object you want to use to replace the original. Click on the "Open" button to make the switch.
Find the model file for the object you want to change, then right-click on this file's icon to open a menu. Choose the "Replace" option and then find and select the model data for the object you want to use to replace the original. Click on the "Open" button to make the switch.
Close both "BrawlBox" windows by clicking on the red "X" icon in the upper right of each window. Be sure to save the changes you have made.
