Wii Controller Connection Instructions

The primary controller for the Nintendo Wii is the Wii Remote. Several attachments are available for the Wii Remote, such as the Nunchuck and Classic Controller. The Nunchuck is design to work in unison with the Wii Remote and is a requirement for certain games. The Classic Controller is a more traditional device that is ideal for older games and games that don't support motion controls. The Wii Remote and its add-ons must be synchronized and connected before they will work properly.

  Open the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote. Insert two fresh AA batteries.

  Turn the Wii on. Open the "SD Card Slot Cover" on the front of the Wii.

  Press the "Sync" button on the bottom of the battery compartment. The lights on the Wii Remote will flash. Press the "Sync" button inside the "SD Card Slot Cover." When the lights on the Wii Remote stabilize, the sync is complete. Replace the battery cover. If you're using a Nunchuck or Classic Controller, insert the Nunchuck or Classic Controller cable into the expansion port on the bottom of the Wii Remote.
