How to Blow the Dust Out of a Wii

The Nintendo Wii's may not function properly or overheat due to excessive dust. Dust is more likely to be an issue, and a reoccurring one, if the Wii sets on or next to a carpeted area. Using a can of compressed air, dust can be blown out of the vents on the Wii.

      Remove any disc inside the Nintendo Wii. Disconnect the Nintendo Wii from its AC outlet.

      Disconnect any cables and peripherals connected to the Wii.

    • 3

      Point the straw that comes with the can of compressed air into the vents around the Wii and spray the air in short, one-second bursts to blow the dust away.
