In "Animal Crossing: City Folk," you move into a fun-filled town where something interesting happens every day of the year. You build a customized house, chat with neighbors and participate in holiday festivities. If you want to play with a new character, you need to start a new town. Creating a new town erases your current one, since you can only have one town at a time. To start fresh, talk to Rover the cat at the game's main menu.

Turn on the Nintendo Wii and load the "Animal Crossing: City Folk" game. Wait for Rover the cat to appear.

Scroll down and select "Other things." Select "Rebuild the Town." You are asked to confirm. Select "Yes."

Enter your desired new name and gender, as well as a name for the new town. After you enter this information, Rover drops you off in the town.
