How to Get Nyko Wii MotionPlus to Work

Nyko manufactures several accessories compatible with Wii software, but only the Nyko Wand is compatible with Wii MotionPlus. Wii MotionPlus is different than the standard Wii Remote control. Wii MotionPlus enhances game play by recognizing every twist and turn you make with the controller. Players can expect the same vibrating motion and built-in speaker system to work with the Nyko Wand. Before you can play games using Wii MotionPlus, you must synchronize your Wand with the Wii console.

Instructions

  Turn on the Wii by pressing and holding down the "Power" button in the upper-left corner. The light on the front of the Wii will go from red to green when powered on. Make sure the television connected to the Wii system is turned on. The Wii's main menu will appear.

  Turn the Nyko accessory over and remove the battery cover.

  Open the side door on the Wii and press the console's red sync button. The side door is just below the power button. The lights on the front of the Wii will start flashing.

  Press the red sync button, below the batteries, on your Nyko Wand. The four blue lights on the front of the Wand will start blinking when in sync mode.

  Press the sync button again on the Wii. The four blue lights on the front of the Nyko Wand will stop blinking and only one light will remain illuminated when synced with system.

  Slide the battery cover into place and replace the silicone cover on the outside of the Nyko wand.
