How to Get the New Year's Shirt in Animal Crossing: City Folk

In "Animal Crossing: City Folk," dozens of shirts and dresses allow you to express your own personal style. Some shirts are common and available at any time in the local store. Others, like the New Year's shirt, are only available on certain holidays or during specific times of the year. As the name of the shirt implies, you get this piece of clothing when it is New Year's Day. To obtain the shirt, you need to talk to the town mayor, a tortoise named Tortimer.

     Change the Wii's date if you do not want to wait for New Year's Day. To change the clock, go to the Wii System Settings menu.

     Select "Calendar." Click the arrows to set month to "1" and the day to "1." You do not need to change the year. Select "Confirm."

     Load your game. Go to the Town Hall and speak with Tortimer. He hands you the New Year's shirt as a free gift.
