How to Install the Hermes cIOS V4

The Nintendo Wii is a revolutionary game console. It implements the WiiMote, which captures the user's motion input through the use of accelerometers and gyroscopes. A custom firmware can be installed onto the Wii to play backup games and run home-brew applications. Different developers have released different custom firmwares. The Hermes cIOS V4 is a stable release.

  Download the Hermes cIOS V4 files. Double-click on the downloaded file to extract its contents.

  Insert the SD card into the computer. Create a folder in the root of the SD card called "apps."

  Drag the extracted files into the "apps" folder.

  Unplug all controllers and memory cards from the Wii. Insert the SD card.

  Turn on the Wii. Click on the "HomeBrew" channel.

  Select the cIOS V4 installer, and press the "A" button on the Wii remote.

  Press "A" again to confirm. Press the "1" button to start the installation. Allow the Wii to reboot.
