Things You'll Need
Instructions
Turn on your Wii. Press "A" on your Wii Remote to get to the Wii main menu. Select the "Wii" button located in the lower, left corner of the screen.
Select "Wii Settings," the button with the wrench icon and press "A" to get to the "Wii System Settings" menu.
Click on the arrow located on the right of the screen to get to page two of "Wii System Settings." Select "Internet" and press "A." Select "Connection 1: None." If it does not say "None" in Connection 1 , click on "Connection 1" and select "Clear Settings."
Select "Wireless Connection" and then select "Search of an Access Point" and press "A." Select "OK," then select your wireless network from the list displayed on your screen.
Enter your security key if you are prompted with "Input the Password or Kkey." Enter your router's password into the Wii, exactly as it is on the sticker located on the bottom of your router. Select "OK." Select "Save Settings." Select "Yes." The Wii will test the connection. If the connection is working, you will receive a message telling you the connection test was successful. If it was not, you will receive an error code. If you get the error code 51330 or 52130, you did not enter the correct security code or password. Try setting up the connection again with the correct code.
Change the router's channel setting to 1 or 11. Most wireless routers use channel 6 to broadcast, which makes the signal weaker as it overlaps with other channel signals. Other wireless devices may interfere with your wireless signal if they are using the same channel to broadcast on while in use at a 2.4GHz frequency.
