How to Connect the Wii Remote for Family Feud

In the game show video game "Family Feud" for the Nintendo Wii, players may sometimes have a problem with the Wii remote disconnecting. This will sometimes happen to the Player Two Wii remote before you begin a multi-player round of the game. The problem can be solved using a few troubleshooting techniques to ensure the Wii remote is properly connected and synced to the Nintendo Wii console.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the back battery cover from the Wii remote and make sure the batteries are properly installed.

    • 2

Press the red button on the inside of the battery compartment and immediately press the red sync button behind the front memory card cover of the Wii console. This will sync the remote to that specific console.

    • 3

Press the "Home" button on the first Wii remote controller and click on "Wii Remote Settings" at the bottom of the screen.

    • 4

Click on the "Reconnect" button on the next menu. This will temporarily disconnect all Wii remotes from the console.

    • 5

Press and hold the "1" and "2" buttons on both Wii remotes until the four blue lights flash on the front of the controllers and stay lighted. Continue holding down the buttons until the Wii remote connects to the console. Both controllers should now be recognized within the game.
