How to Defeat the Pirates in the Jungle on Epic Mickey

The action-adventure/platforming Wii game "Epic Mickey" emphasizes the adventurous, mischievous side of Mickey Mouse over the happy-go-lucky, cheerful side that's so well known. In the game, Mickey uses a paintbrush to thin, erase and recolor obstacles and enemies in an open-ended way that can actually turn foes into friends. The jungle levels require Mickey to locate symbols while navigating around obstacles and through enemies including Beetleworx Bashers -- sword-wielding pirates that have been made into robotic constructs by the game's antagonist.

  Encounter the Beelleworx Basher, aka Pirate, on the jungle level. These are very quick enemies, and can be tricky to take down.

  Use the paintbrush to thin the enemy.

  Allow the pirate to use its spin attack and evade whenever possible. The pirate staggers after making the attack, leaving it vulnerable for a second.

  Locate the glowing green dot on the pirate's back.
- 5
  Jump and use a spin attack on the pirate's glowing dot. This must be done very quickly, before the pirate recovers.
- 6
  Repeat this technique three times to defeat the pirate. There are many plants in the area to restore health, if Mickey gets in trouble while taking down the pirate.
