How to Throw a Fast Ball in Wii Bowling

Released in 2006, the Nintendo Wii console has unique motion-based game play that sets it apart from its competitors. Although Microsoft and Sony adapted this feature with the Xbox Kinect and PlayStation Move, Nintendo introduced the technology in its "Wii Sports" game. One of the games on the disc is "Wii Bowling." The simulation is intuitive, meaning anyone who has seen a real bowler play can easily imitate him successfully in the game. However, even a well-aimed ball is ineffective without speed. It's easy to execute a fast, powerful throw.

Instructions

    • 1

Hold the Wii Remote as you would a television remote.

    • 2

Hold down the "B" button with your index finger to grip the ball. The "B" button is located under the Wii Remote; it resembles a trigger. If you release the button, your character drops the ball, so maintain your hold until you are ready to let the ball go.

    • 3

Bring the Wii Remote up to your face the way a real bowler raises the ball before a throw.

    • 4

Bring your arm back slowly until it is fully extended behind you.

    • 5

Swing your arm forward quickly until it is parallel with your knee.

    • 6

Quickly flick the Wii Remote with your wrist in an upward motion and release the "B" button to release the ball. Continue the throw until your arm is extended in front of you. Make sure that Steps 4 to 6 are one smooth motion.
