How to Scare the Man With the Hawk in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Scaring the man with the hawk in "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" can be tricky. During this part of the game, Link has turned into a wolf, after entering the twilight. He is in the village of Ordon, where the man with a hawk stands high above on a stump. Your task is to figure out how to jump up behind him to scare him away. If you fail, he sends the hawk out to attack you. If you succeed, you gain entry to a building that contains the item you need to continue your quest.

Instructions

- 1
  Walk close to the shop where you encountered the lady who was missing her cat. Steer clear from the man's view; otherwise the hawk will attack you. You cannot defend yourself against the hawk.

  Watch for Midna to light up on the screen and yell at you. When she does this, press the "Up" arrow button on your Wii remote. She will jump to the nearest building and wait for you to jump.

  Press the "Z" button on your Nunchuk to target Midna. Hold "Z" and press "A" on the Wii remote to jump up to where Midna is.

  Go around to where you can see the man. His back will be turned, and he will be facing away from you. Jump on the stump behind the one he is standing on.

  Jump to the stump he is standing on. He will still be turned away from you. Do this quickly and quietly. Get close to him. He will turn around, see you and run away. You will now be free to continue jumping over to the top of the building with the waterwheel to get your item.
