How to Activate the Cheat Gnome in The Sims 2: Castaway

"The Sims 2: Castaway" pits players against nature itself as they create a Sim and try to survive on a remote tropical island. To stay alive they must build shelter, craft tools and forage for food and other useful items. Island life is often grueling, but fortunately players have access to cheat codes to make life easier for their Sims. To activate any cheat codes, players must first spawn a Cheat Gnome, an item which regulates all cheats in the game.

Instructions

  Enter into any lot in the game. The Cheat Gnome will only work while you are actually on a lot, not while you are looking at the island map or in another game mode.

  Press "B," "Z," "Up," "Down" and "B" in quick succession to spawn the Cheat Gnome.

  Locate the Cheat Gnome. It will appear in different areas depending on the island you are on. The Cheat Gnome is found on Pier Beach next to a boulder, in West Beach out in the sea by some rocks and in the First Beach area, next to some trees.

  Enter additional cheat codes such as "Z," "Z," "A," "Z" and "2" to unlock the special vest and tanktop.

  Click on the Cheat Gnome to activate it. From the Cheat Gnome menu you can select which cheat codes you would like to activate.
