How to Get 100 Stars in Super Mario Galaxy 2

"Super Mario Galaxy 2" presents a massive gaming experience, allowing you to control Mario, who traverses from galaxy to galaxy collecting stars. Although only 70 stars are required to complete the game, there are in fact 242 stars that can be acquired in the entire game.

Instructions

- 1
  Start in World 1, the first level being the Sky Station Galaxy. This galaxy has three stars to be pursued in order. Begin with "PeeWee Pirahna's Temper Tantrum." Make sure to collect the Comet Medal before acquiring the star; the Comet Medal unlocks the third star in any given galaxy. In this worold, Comet Medals must be collected in The Star Station, Yoshi Star, Spin Dig, Flip Switch and Bowser Jr.'s Fiery Flotilla galaxies. Collect three stars in order to advance to the next Star Gate (and thus unlock more levels). Seven stars unveils the second Star Gate. Collect at least 300 Star bits as you go, as you must feed a Luma this much in order to unlock an additional level. Defeat Bowser Jr. in the final galaxy of this world.

  Advance to World 2, starting with the Puzzle Plank Galaxy. Collect up 16 stars in order to open the one Star Gate in this world. Find Comet Medals in the Puzzle Plank, Hightail Falls, Boulder Bowl, and Bowser's Lave Lair galaxies. Note that the Luma requires 700 Star bits to unlock the level, so collect and save them along the way. Defeat Bowser in the final galaxy to advance to the next world.

  Begin World 3, starting with Tall Trunk Galaxy. Acquiring 28 stars will open up the Star Gate to advance to more galaxies. Comet Medals must be found in the Tall Trunk, Cloudy Court, Haunty Halls, Rolling Masterpiece, Beat Block and Bowser Jr.'s Fearsome Fleet galaxies. Feed the Hungry Luma 1,000 Star bits to unlock an extra galaxy. Defeat Bowser Jr. in the final galaxy.

  Go to World 4, starting with Supermassive Galaxy. Find Comet Medals in the Supermassive, Flipsville, Starshine Beach, Chompworks, Sweet Mystery and Bowser's Gravity Gauntlet galaxies. Acquire 40 stars to open the Star Gate. Collect 1,200 Star bits to feed the Hungry Luma. Defeat Bowser in the final galaxy.

  Start World 5 with the Space Storm Galaxy. Find Comet Medals in the following galaxies: Slipsand, Shiverburn and Bowser Jr's Boom Bunker. Fifty-five stars open the sole Star Gate in this world. Feed the Hungry Luma with 1,500 Star bits. Defeat Bowser Jr. in "Bowser Jr.'s Boom Bunker."

  Begin World 6 with the Melty Monster Galaxy. Open the first Star Gate with 60 stars, the second one with 65 stars and the third with 70 stars. Collect Comet Medals in Clockwork Ruins, Throwback, Battle Belt, Flash Back and Bowser's Galaxy Generator galaxies. Feed the Hungry Luma 1800 Star bits. Defeat Bowser in the final galaxy. Making it this far will get you at least 70 stars. If you pursue each and every star in order, you will reach 100 stars by World 6, acquiring the second star in the Battle Belt galaxy.
