Heart Rip Move
Typically, using the Heart Rip move, which is also called "Mekite," to kill Mud Men is best. You earn the Blood Heart item for every one you kill with this method. To do this move, hit a Mud Man at least three times and then thrust your Wiimote toward the playing device's screen. That should make your character lunge forward and rip out the Mud Man's large heart, killing the Mud Man instantly. If the move doesn't work right away, pause briefly after you hit the Mud Man three times, and then thrust the Wiimote.
Beserk Mode
For all the game's characters to fill the Berserk gauge, you must collect Blood Orbs, kill enemies or get hurt. A few characters have shortcuts to do this, such as Misery's Ring of Trance item that you obtain from completing the survival quests. Once the gauge fills, the character automatically goes into Berserk Mode. When in this mode, you can kill the Mud Men with a few slashes.
Mud Men in Groups
Mud Men will follow you wherever you go in the game. If you try to avoid them, they will bunch in groups. This is good if you are careful. After they start lining up, aim for one of them in the middle of the group. When you execute the Heart Rip move, the whole row of them will fall.
Run-Away Option
Enemies re-spawn infinitely in many areas in the game. If one of these areas, or rooms, contains Mud Men, then there is no end to them. Just run past them to your goal if you find yourself is this situation.
