How to Renovate the Watermill Animal Parade

"Harvest Moon: Animal Parade" is a farming simulation game developed by Marvelous Interactive and published by Natsume for the Nintendo Wii. The object of the game is to restore five sacred bells to rejuvenate the Harvest Goddess and bring productivity to the island of Castanet. Players progress in the game by harvesting crops, tending to livestock, gathering minerals and fishing. A watermill is located on Castanet Island that is inactive at the start of the game. Renovating the watermill enables players to grind crops into other products.

Instructions

  Earn 24,000 gold. It will take several weeks to earn this much gold at the start of the game. Harvest as many crops as you can and don't spend your gold on luxuries like televisions and jewelry.

  Collect 50 pieces of lumber from Fugue Forest. Use the axe to cut trees and stumps. Trees require 24 swings of the axe and produce up to six pieces of lumber. Stumps require 12 swings of the axe and produce a single piece of lumber.

  Collect 50 material stones from the Garmon Mine or Watery Cave. Use the hammer to break minerals. All minerals require one hit and produce a single piece of material stone.

  Travel to the Garmon Mine district and talk to Dale at the carpenter's shop. Dale will renovate the watermill in exchange for 24,000 gold, 50 pieces of lumber and 50 material stones. Once initiated, the renovation job takes one day to complete.
