Load the game and turn on your console. Check to see if the power on the microphone is off and attach the USB connector on the microphone to an available USB outlet located on the back of your gaming console. Turn the microphone's power on. The microphone needs to be connected and on at all times when playing the game.
Select "Quick Play" on the main menu, using your console's controller. If you want to sing alone, choose "Solo" and then select your song and difficulty level. If you want to sing against a player select "Versus" and if you want to sing cooperatively with them select "Duet". In "Duet" mode, two microphones will be needed. You may also choose "Single Player" mode or "Multiplayer" mode.
Follow along with the pitch bar that scrolls across the screen. Keep within the pitch indicator in order to achieve a higher score. If two singers are singing at once, Player 1's pitch bar is green, located on the bottom and Player 2's pitch bar is purple and is located above Player 1's.
Hit all the notes perfectly on one screen to earn double points and sing all the notes perfectly in three screens to earn triple points. If you achieve this for five screens, you will accumulate quadruple points.
