My Aquarium Wii Cheats

"My Aquarium" for the Nintendo Wii, known as "Blue Oasis" in Japan, is a game that allows players to keep fish in a virtual aquarium on their television. "My Aquarium" allows players to feed, breed and unlock new aquatic animals, such as jellyfish, piranha, seahorses and lionfish. The game has no cheat codes, in the traditional sense, but by arranging your tanks and manipulating the time code of your Wii, you can unlock new aquatic life on "My Aquarium."
  1. Manipulate Clock Settings on Wii

    • The only way to unlock new fish in "My Aquarium" is to continue to feed, grow and multiply your fish over time. The only way to expedite the process is to change the time settings on your Wii. Change the time on your Wii by selecting the "Wii Options" button in the lower left-hand corner of your "Home" screen. Select the "Wii Settings" button and continue to "Calendar." Scroll through the day, hour and minute options to select a new time and click "Confirm."

    Arrangement and Breeding

    • There are 13 fish available at the start of the game. Players can create up to six different aquarium tanks. New fish will be unlocked as time progresses. New fish are generally unlocked on the third and sixth days of successful care and feeding. They are also unlocked when fish eat other fish or breed in the aquarium. For this reason, allocate three of your tanks for breeding and three for feeding. The breeding tank must have enough room to breed another fish, so do not overstock your tank or make your fish too large in the beginning. Adjust the size of your fish, in their initial placement in a tank, by adding or subtracting bars from the size meter. Lastly, place fish that can be eaten by other fish in your feeding tanks.

    Feed Fish

    • To expedite the unlocking process, feed your fish at least two to three times per day. There are 13 kinds of fish available at the start of the game and up to 49 available, so there are 36 fish to unlock. Remember to feed all of the fish in your tanks before advancing the clock on your Wii. Once you have fed your fish, exit the game and return to the "Wii Options" menu. Set the clock about six to eight hours ahead in time and return to the game to feed your fish. Repeat this process over and over to unlock new aquatic animals, like the seahorse.

    Trophies

    • Unlocking new fish, viewing fish on a special date, such as an anniversary or birthday, and breeding fish will allow you to receive special trophies. The game provides six bronze trophies for low-level accomplishments, four silver trophies for high-level accomplishments and one gold trophy that is awarded for unlocking all fish in the game. Bronze trophies, of various designations, are awarded for 1) Adding ten fish; 2) Feeding fish to another fish; 3) Viewing fish on a special date; 4) Feeding 10 or more fish to other fish; 5) Adding a Yellow Piranha; and 6) Breeding five different fish. Silver trophies are awarded for 1) Breeding 20 new fish; 2) Having 100 fish occupy a tank at the same time; 3) Putting fish in all six aquariums; and 4) Having 25 different kinds of fish in a tank at the same time. A gold trophy is awarded when all fish have been unlocked.
