How to Catch the Snitch in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

In "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" for the Nintendo Wii, you must help Harry catch a Golden Snitch to complete the Gryffindor Common Room quests. The Golden Snitch is a game piece used in the sport Quiddich, featured in the Harry Potter books, movies and video games. The Snitch is small golden ball that floats in the air and quickly changes directions, making it difficult to catch while flying around on a broomstick. In "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," you catch the Snitch while on the ground.

Instructions

  Visit the Gryffindor Common Room and wait until you hear a voice calling out to you.

  Cast Wingardium Leviosa to move the armchair next to the fireplace out of the way and replace it with a table. Climb the table and talk to the portrait next to the fireplace. The portrait will ask you to find his Golden Snitch.

  Talk to the portrait by the staircase in the Gryffindor Common Room. You will be able to tell it is the right portrait because you will see a Golden Snitch painted on it. This will cause the Golden Snitch to shoot out of the portrait and fly around the room.

  Press the A button when you are close to the Golden Snitch to catch it. Return to the portrait by the fireplace and hand over the Golden Snitch to complete the quest.
