How Do You Get the Orange Tabby As a Pet on Harvest Moon Animal Parade?

Get the orange tabby as a pet in the Nintendo Wii game "Harvest Moon: Animal Parade" and enjoy one of the optional objectives of the game. You get pets much easier in "Animal Parade" than in the previous similar game "Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility," so this task may be less difficult than you think. Learn how to get the orange tabby as a pet and the tabby will find herbs every 90 minutes of game time when you take it on a walk. You can also train the tabby to perform tricks with the animal whistle once it's your pet.

  Visit the orange cat each day. The orange tabby cat roams above Ocarina Inn in Harmonica Town.

  Pet the cat. Stand in front of the orange cat and press the "A" button to pet the cat. Pet the cat at least once a day to increase its affection.

  Give the cat a gift it likes. You will increase the cat's affections if you give it a gift it likes, such as a fish or shining herb salad. A daily gift increases the cat's affections.

  Shake a second Wii remote over the cat. If you have a second Wii remote, earn bonus affection with the orange tabby. Point the second Wii remote at the orange cat on the screen. Shake the remote back and forth so that the cursor "rubs" the cat. "Rub" the cat until hearts appear above its head. "Rub" the cat daily.

  Pick up the cat when it reaches three hearts. Once you raise the cat's affections to 3 hearts, you will notice a new option appears when you face the cat and press "A." You can now pick up the cat to further raise its affections. Pick up the cat at least once a day.

  Invite the cat to be your pet when it reaches six hearts of affection. Check your status menu to see the cat's current level of affection. When the cat reaches six hearts of affection, you will be able to invite the cat to be your pet when you stand in front of it and press "A."
