How to Use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk for Super Smash Brothers Brawl

Move the analog stick on the Wii Nunchuk to move your character. Pressing down on the analog stick while on a platform makes your character fall below it and tilting down makes him crouch.

Press the "C" Button on your Nunchuk to jump. Press it again to double-jump. Additionally, press the +Control Pad up on the Wii Remote to jump as well.

Press the "A" Button on the Wii Remote to attack. Tilt the analog stick in any direction while attacking to perform a different attack. For example, tilting the stick in a direction while attacking results in a "Strong Attack."

Press the "A" Button three times in a row to use a combo attack, dealing extra damage to your opponent.

Press the "A" Button while standing over an item to pick it up. Press the "A" Button again to use the item.

Press the "B" Button on the Wii Remote to perform your character's special move. Tilt the analog stick in any direction and press "B" Button to perform a different special move, depending on the direction of the stick.

Press the "Z" Button to use your shield, which negates all damage from attacks for a limited time. Press "Z" Button and tilt the analog stick either left or right to perform a dodge roll, allowing you to evade enemies attacks.

Press the "A" Button and "B" Button simultaneously when next to an opponent to grab them. Move the analog stick in any direction to throw your opponent in the direction pressed. This move can also be used to discard unwanted items that you have picked up.

Press the "1" Button or "2" Button, or press the "1" Button and "2" Button simultaneously to perform a taunt. This move deals no damage and is just used to humiliate your opponent.

Press the + Button on the Wii Remote to pause the game and access the menu.
