How to Connect a Wii to an Old TV Panasonic

The Nintendo Wii gaming console is compatible with current flat-screen and high-definition television sets. You are not able to connect the console to a Panasonic TV that does not have colored audio and video inputs located on the back of the television. A new TV is not necessary to play the Wii inside your home. A special modulator connects both to the Nintendo Wii and to the old TV set, allowing you to enjoy your Wii.

Instructions

    • 1

Connect both the Nintendo Wii and the RF modulator to electrical outlets.

    • 2

Connect the RF modulator's coaxial cable to the old Panasonic TV's coaxial input. Screw the cable into the input tightly to keep the two devices connected.

    • 3

Connect the Wii's "AV Multi Out" plug into the "AV Multi Out" connection on the back of the Wii. Connect the three colored cords on the opposite end of the "AV Multi Out" plug into the three colored inputs on the RF modulator. Match the colors of the three cords with the colors of the inputs --- red to red, white to white and yellow to yellow.

    • 4

Flip the channel switch on the RF modulator to either 3 or 4, depending on your preference. Skip to Step 5 if the modulator has no channel switch.

Turn on the Nintendo Wii and Panasonic TV. Turn the TV to channel 3 or 4. The Nintendo Wii main screen will appear on the Panasonic TV screen.
