Group Fighting Game
"Super Smash Bros. Brawl" is a fast-paced action fighting game created by Nintendo. Your Wii friends can play online and compete with up to four players in a battle simultaneously. Your friends can also join and battle in person by plugging a Wii controller inside the console's four ports. Two players can help each other by playing the cooperative missions. Players can choose from 35 Nintendo-created characters.
First-Person Shooter Game
"GoldenEye 007" derives from a popular best-selling first-person shooter (FPS) game for the Nintendo 64 (N64). The developers have added elements of the old version while still keeping the feel of a new title; according to Game Faqs, Wii players can choose the multiplayer option and select over 50 characters, including eight classic 007 story characters. Four Nintendo Wii players can battle in arenas offline or eight players can fight online.
Adventure Game
The "New Super Mario Bros." adds the style seen in the 2D original NES games to 3D elements of the characters. Developers enabled this side-scrolling adventure game to be played by up to four players. Players can work together in cooperation to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser. The story spans nine different worlds in 88 levels. Players can also compete against each other in a system that ranks the player based on coins collected, enemy kills and score.
Racing Game
"Mario Kart" is a racing game in which you must do whatever you can to finish in first place. This means that players can take shortcuts or collect power items that help gain an advantage. These items include ones for offense, defense or speed boosts. Players can choose from 24 different characters and 36 different vehicles. Four Wii players can race against each other offline in various battle modes while online players can race against 11 opponents.
Technical Fighting Game
The Nintendo Wii provides gamers with a fighting game called "Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars." According to Nintendo, the game pits characters created by Capcom against Japanese anime characters created by the Tatsunoko company. Players can choose from over 20 characters, with each having special abilities and a set of combos. A team of two players can fight another team of two, or they can select to battle against computer opponents. In addition, an allied player can assist you in fighting online opponents.
