What Are Retro Courses in Mario Kart Wii?

Sixteen total retro tracks are available on "Mario Kart Wii." "Mario Kart Wii" was the sixth game in the series, and the retro tracks were all used on one or more of the previous five editions. The tracks are spread out over four series of races called "Cups."
  1. Shell Cup

    • The Shell Cup features four tracks that were originally available in previous versions of the "Mario Kart" series. The tracks are Peach Beach from "Mario Kart: Double Dash!!" on GameCube, Yoshi Falls from "Mario Kart DS," Ghost Valley from "Mario Kart" on Super Nintendo and Mario Raceway from "Mario Kart 64" on the Nintendo 64.

    Banana Cup

    • Four retro race tracks are available in the Banana Cup series. Sherbet Land is from "Mario Kart 64," Delfino Square from "Mario Kart DS," Shy Guy Beach from "Mario Kart Super Circuit," and Waluigi Stadium from "Mario Kart: Double Dash!!"

    Leaf Cup

    • The Leaf Cup series of races are not available until you place at least third in both the Banana and Shell Cups. Lightning Cup

    • Finishing in third or above in the Leaf Cup will unlock the Lightning Cup.
