How to Fix Drum Kits for Guitar Hero World Tour for Wii

The drum kit that comes with the Nintendo Wii version of "Guitar Hero: World Tour" is just one part of a larger band setup. If anything begins to go wrong with the drum kit, you will be unable to play large portions of the game. Fixing the drum kit that comes with the Nintendo Wii version of the game relies heavily on determining the problem.

Instructions

    • 1

Use a rag to clean any dust or dirt off of the sensor pads on your "Guitar Hero: World Tour" drums. These sensor pads are on the drums themselves and on the attached cymbals. Any dust or dirt that is present could interfere with the way the sensor pads read the impact from your drum sticks, which could cause you to miss notes in the game.

    • 2

Order any replacement parts you need from online stores like Amazon.com or GameStop. Both stores stock replacement parts for the Nintendo Wii version of the "Guitar Hero: World Tour" drum kit. If you need to replace a cymbal pad, for example, loosen the screw on the old cymbal pad and pull it off. Put the new pad in its place and tighten the screw.

Send your drum kit back to Activision for professional repairs (if applicable). If you don't feel comfortable doing repairs on your own or the repairs themselves have to do with the wiring of the drum kit, use the "Contact Us" form on Activision's page to request service. Inform the customer service representative that you have the Wii version. They will tell you where to send the drum kit for repairs. "Guitar Hero: World Tour" for the Nintendo Wii includes a one-year warranty for all hardware, including the drum kit.
