How to Use a Wii Component Video With a Rear Projection TV

The Nintendo Wii gaming system comes with a component video cable connection. This is the highest video output available on the gaming platform. You can use the component cable connection with any television that features the component video input ports, including a rear projection television. Once hooked up you can enjoy your Nintendo Wii's wireless and motion capture games via the projection screen TV.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert the rectangular end of the component video cables into the "Component Out" port of the Nintendo Wii. This connection is marked on the rear of the gaming device.

    • 2

Connect the red, green and blue ends of the cable into the "Component In" ports on the back side of the rear projection television.

    • 3

Power on the Nintendo Wii and the rear projection television. Select "Component" as the video input option on the TV. The Nintendo Wii gaming signal now loads onto the projection TV screen.
