How to Hook Up My Wii to the Internet With DSL

Connecting your Wii to the Internet allows you to purchase and download games, browse the Internet and interact with friends who are in different locations. You can connect your Wii directly to your DSL modem using an Ethernet cable, but you must purchase a USB LAN adapter for the Wii. If your DSL modem is connected to a wireless router, you can also connect the Wii to the Internet wirelessly.

Instructions

  1. Connect to Wireless Network

    • 1

Click the "Wii" button on the Wii's home menu to change the Wii's options. Select the "Wii Settings" button.

    • 2

Choose the right arrow button to advance to the next page of Wii settings. Click the "Internet" button.

    • 3

Select the "Connection Settings" button and then choose one of the available "Connection" buttons.
