Raise Affection Faster
You can raise the affection points of your pets and livestock, as well as the affection points of the townspeople and your potential spouse, faster by using a cheat that requires a second Wii remote. Every time an animal or person appears on screen, make sure your second Wii remote is registered and point it at the animal or person. Rub the Wii remote cursor over the person or animal until hearts appear above the character's head. You can do this once a day (game time) to every animal and person in town for bonus affection points.
Make Easy Money
If you want to earn money without a lot of effort, all you need to do is buy a cutting board from the General Store for 1500G. Place the cutting board in your kitchen by selecting "Furniture" on the main menu and placing it on an available countertop space.
Next, head to the Fishery and buy as many Goby fish as your purse allows for 30G each. Stand in front of the cutting board in your kitchen and select a Goby fish one at a time. You'll cut up the fish and turn it into Sashimi, which you can sell by putting in your shipping crate for 75G each.
Experience All Weddings and Honeymoons
Part of the appeal of the Harvest Moon series is being able to pursue an eligible bachelor or bachelorette in town, eventually marrying your choice of a partner and starting a family. However, playing just one game of Harvest Moon can be time consuming, so you may never play another game in which you marry another choice of character. If you want to experience all of the wedding and honeymoon scenes, court all of the bachelors or bachelorettes (depending on your farmer's gender) simultaneously. Create a duplicate save file before you propose marriage.
Experience the wedding and honeymoon with a character and then go back to your duplicate file to start over again. This is easier than starting a new game each time. Because you'll have three save files, you can wind up continuing marriage with three of the candidates at once after experiencing all of the weddings and honeymoons.
Grow the Most Profitable Crops
In order to make the most money, you want to grow the crops that will take the least amount of time but still reward you with a considerable profit on your initial seed investment. In spring, these crops are the lettuce and strawberry plants. In summer, you should grow tea leaves and honeydew. In fall, grow blue mist flowers. In winter, try growing buckwheat and snowdrop flowers.
