SimCity Creator Instructions for Wii

"SimCity Creator" was released for the Nintendo Wii in 2008. "SimCity Creator" follows the same formula as previous SimCity games for the PC, where your objective is to build a virtual city. The game uses only the Wii Remote for control and does not support the Wii Nunchuk or Classic Controller. Knowing how to use the controller is vital to creating a successful city in "SimCity Creator."

Instructions

    • 1

Select a game mode from the main menu. "Free Mode" allows you to build a city from the ground up, while "Mission Mode" will task you with specific missions with a pre-built city, such as "rebuild a city after it has suffered a robot attack."

    • 2

Press "Down" on the Wii Remote's Directional Pad to access the Tool Menu. Likewise, pressing "A" on the Wii Remote will also open this menu. Press the "B" button to exit the menu.

    • 3

Point the Wii Remote at the edge of the screen to move in that direction. Press the "+" and "-" buttons to zoom in and out, respectively.

    • 4

Use the Directional Pad to navigate through the Tool Menu. When you find a Tool you want, press the "A" button to select it. Tools can be anything from bulldozers and roads, to zones such as Residential and Commercial.

    • 5

Press "A" to place a zone, road or any other building material in the location of your Wii Remote pointer. Hold "A" and move the Wii Remote to create your own zones. This allows you to create curvy roads or a circular neighborhood.

    • 6

Press "2" on the Wii Remote to undo the most recent change.

    • 7

Press "1" on the Wii Remote to rotate the map.

    • 8

Speed up time by pressing "A" on the fast forward buttons located in the bottom-right of the screen. Pause time by pressing the pause button. Resume normal time by pressing the play button.

    • 9

Place residential, commercial and industrial zones to begin creating your city. Residential zones are where your citizens live, commercial zones are where they shop and industrial zones are where they work. Connect the zones together with roads.

    • 10

Continue to build your city, placing more zones and other buildings such as a police station and fire station. Listen to your advisors when they appear on screen -- they often have helpful information about your city. "SimCity Creator" has no ending, so continue to build your city as large as possible.
