Visit the WiiBrew website and locate the DopMii program. Click on "Download" under the "Links" section on the right-hand side of the page. Extract the download and save it to your computer.
Place the DopMii application into the "Apps" folder on your SD card. You should have an "Apps" folder on your SD card already, from the process of installing the Homebrew Channel. However, if you do not, you can prepare the SD card for the Wii console by formatting the card as "FAT32." Right-click on the SD card and look for a box next to "Quick Format" and "FAT32." Click the boxes to select the options. Click the "Start" button in the bottom portion of the window to format the SD card. Create a new folder on the formatted SD card and title it "Apps."
Insert the SD card into the Nintendo Wii console. The SD slot is on the front of the console below the "Power" and "Reset" buttons. The SD card slot is located behind a white tab.
Launch the Hombrew Channel once you have inserted the SD card and press "A" on the "DopMii" application. Once you have started the application, you will be presented with a main page with some options.
Downgrade the IOS of your Wii console. The IOS stands for Internal Operating System. Leave the option at "Download IOS from NUS" and press the "A" button on your Wii remote. Once the IOS has been downloaded, DopMii will prompt you for the location of the IOS for "IOS15 v257." Leave the option at "Download IOS from NUS" and press the "A" button on your Wii remote control.
Press "A" on the Wii remote control when the DopMii program prompts you to"Apply ES_Identity Patch to IOS36." Once DopMii completes applying the ES_Identity patch to IOS36, you will be prompted to enable the "NAND Permissions." Press the "A" button on the Wii remote controller. Choose the "Download IOS from NUS" option once more when prompted by DopMii.
Restore IOS15 by selecting "Download IOS from NUS" once more. Press "A" on the Wii remote controller to download the IOS.
Reboot the DopMii program and select the "IOS36" option when the program launches. Choose the "IOS36" option once more. Look on the right hand side of the screen for any "STUB IOS" channels. Press the "-" button on the Wii remote controller to delete the stub IOS's. Delete "IOS202," "222," "223," "249" and "250" if they have the word "STUB IOS" next to them.
Reboot the DopMii program and select the "IOS36" option when the program launches. Press "A" on "IOS36" once more. Press the "right" or "left" buttons on the directional keypad on the Wii remote control to cycle to the option "IOS70 v6687" and press the "+" button on the Wii remote. The DopMii program will ask you if you accept all patches; press "A" on the prompts when asked.
Press the "B" button to return to the previous menu and select the "Install System Menu" option. Once you have selected the option, press the "+" button on "4.2" to change your Wii menu back to 4.2.
