Preparation
Set "L" or "R" at the main menu depending on whether you are left- or right-handed. Put the strap around your wrist to prevent the Wii remote from flying out of your hand. Move your bowler left or right in the lane by using the directional pad. Press "A" and you can switch the aiming mode, allowing you to target your ball diagonally down the lane. Press "Up" on the directional pad to zoom in on the pins for a better look.
Throwing
Bring the Wii remote up in front of you and then swing it backwards while holding down the "B" button. Swing the controller forward and release the "B" button at the bottom of the swing just as you would release an actual bowling ball during a roll. Twist the Wii remote to the right or left to give the ball a slicing or hooking motion.
Key to Strikes
Try to emulate the pros for better results. For example, a right-hander will stand to the right of the head pin and put enough hook on the ball so that it hits in the "pocket" between the head pin and second row. This results in more strikes and nine-pin hits. If you aim dead-on at the head pin, you are often left with very difficult splits to try to make a spare.
New Bowling Balls
Make it to the "Pro" level of 1,000 by rolling consistently higher scores and you will get a new ball that features diamond designs. You can also use cheats to change the bowl color. When the game fades to black before the match, hold different directions on the directional pad to get new colors: "Left" for Red, "Right" for gold, "Up" for blue and "Down" for green.
