Avatar Games for Wii

You can create avatars called Miis on the Nintendo Wii in any likeness -- yours, your father's, Ed McMahon's -- and many of these pop up in various parts of games available for the home video game console. Your Mii will answer trivia questions, drive go-karts or shred the axe, depending on which games you play.
  1. Sports Games

    • The original console pack-in game, "Wii Sports," makes full use of all of the Miis you create on your console, as they compete in events like tennis, baseball and golf. "Wii Sports Resort" adds games such as table tennis and archery to the original sports mix. Your Miis can compete with video game mascots Mario and Sonic for gold, silver and bronze medals in "Mario &Sonic at the Olympic Games" and "Mario &Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games." Your Mii can race around in karts against characters from the Mario games in "Mario Kart," which allows you to drive your kart with a wheel controller.

    Guitar Games

    • Play the guitar or drums or sing vocals in the "Guitar Hero" game series. "Guitar Hero: World Tour" was the first to include the full band experience on the disc, as well as allow your Miis to play. "Guitar Hero 5" again stars your Miis as the band, and this time you can also complete additional challenges to access additional content.

    Game Shows

    • Give the questions to the answers proposed to you by a virtual Alex Trebek in the Wii version of "Jeopardy!" Yours and two other Miis form the contestant pool. The same is true in "Wheel of Fortune," where your Mii spins the wheel and solves puzzles as Vanna White turns the tiles and Pat Sajak emcees the action.

    Party Games

    • Your Mii will traverse various game boards and compete in numerous mini-game competitions against other Miis and characters from the Mario universe in "Mario Party 8." Collect the most stars to win the game. "Wii Play" comes packed with an additional Wii remote and also offers a collection of quick games in which your Miis participate, such as target shooting and billiards. Use your Wii remote and various objects to help create music and play along with famous ballads and tunes from classic Nintendo games in "Wii Music."
