Visit the Homebrew Channel website (see Resources) and click on the specific Twilight Hack Installer version that applies to your Wii system menu. Click on it to download to your computer. Extract the download and save the files to a directory on your computer. Afterwards, navigate to the "File Trip" website and click on "Download Selected Version" to save the WAD Installer to your computer. Extract the WAD Installer to the same directory where you saved the Twilight Hack Installer. Finally, visit the Media Fire website (see Resources) and click on the "Download" button to save the "Mega Man" WAD file to your computer.
Format your SD card so it can be read by the Wii. Put your SD card into your computer SD slot, or purchase an SD-to-USB converter if you do not have a built-in SD card slot. You simply insert the SD card into the bottom slot in the SD-to-USB converter and plug the USB drive into an available USB port on your computer. Click on "Start," "My Computer" and you will see a list of drives displayed for the computer. Locate your SD card and format it as "FAT32" by clicking the check box "FAT32." Click on "Quick Format" and "Start" to begin formatting the SD card. Once the SD card has been formatted, place the Twilight Hack Installer, WAD Installer and the "Mega Man" WAD onto the card.
Create a folder on the root of the SD card and name it "Apps." This folder will contain all of your applications, system utilties, emulators and homebrew games. Move the WAD Installer program into the "Apps" folder. Create a folder on the root of the SD card and name it "WADS." Place the "Mega Man" WAD file into the "WADS" folder. The WAD Installer looks for the "WADS" folder on the root of the SD card when installing WAD files to the Wii system. Move the "private" folder of the Twilight Hack Installer to the root of the SD card. Afterwards, remove the SD card from the computer or SD-to-USB converter.
Pull the SD slot tab open on the front of the Wii console and insert the SD card into the slot. Close the cover and press the "Power" button on the Wii console..
Click on the "Wii Options" button in the lower left-hand side of the Wii main menu, then click on "Data Management," "Save Data" and "Wii." Locate your "Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" game save and press "A" on it. Scroll down to the option "Copy" and press "A." Copy the game save to the SD card and remove the SD card from the Wii console. Place the SD card back into your computer and copy the game save to your computer so you have a backup.
Put the SD card back into the Wii console and navigate back to the "Wii" memory and press "A" on the "Zelda" game save again. Choose the "Erase" option to delete the game save.
Go to the "SD card" memory in the "Memory Management" menu and press "A" on the "Zelda" game save that is on the SD card. Choose the option "Copy" by pressing "A" on it and it will copy the "Zelda" game save to your Wii memory.
Insert "Zelda: Twilight Princess" into your Wii and launch the game. When the game loads, press "A" on the Twilight Hack Installer save. Once the save loads, either walk backward or speak to the man in front of you by pressing "A" to launch the Twilight Hack Installer. Follow the prompts on screen to install the Homebrew Channel to your Wii.
Power down your Wii and turn it back on. Press "A" on the "Homebrew Channel" program icon on the Wii main menu to launch it. Once the program is launched, the WAD Installer homebrew application will load. Press "A" on the application to load it.
Plug a Nintendo Gamecube controller into the first port of the Wii console. Cycle down to "Install WAD" and press "A" on it. Cycle to the "SD card" when asked for the location of the WAD files. The Mega Man WAD file should be displayed. Press "A" on the Mega Man WAD to install it to your Wii system. Once done, press the "Home" button on the Wii mote to return to the Homebrew Channel. Press the "Home" button once more and press "A" on the "System Menu" button. The Mega Man WAD channel will be on your Wii main menu. Press "A" to launch the channel.
